Nanxun Ancient Town Day Tour from Shanghai

Pick you up from your hotel in Shanghai. Then drive to Nanxun Ancient Town. First visit Little Lotus Garden, which is a classical garden built in the Qing Dynasty. It was built with reference to the fashionable western style of Nanxun at the time. If you are interested in garden art, feudal official cutting family rituals, and wood and stone carving techniques in the late Qing and early Republican periods, Little Lotus Garden is a good choice.

After that, visit Jiaye Tang Library and Zhangshiming Former Residence. Jiaye Tang Library is famous for its huge scale and a large number of ancient books. It is one of the three largest private bookstores in China. Zhangshiming Former Residence is located in the ancient town of Nanxun in Huzhou. It is composed of Jiangnan traditional buildings and French Renaissance European-style buildings. The two architectural styles are very cleverly combined.

After lunch, move on to One-Hundred Residential Houses, which located on the northeast side of the ancient town, is built along the east and west sides of the old canal. Baijianlou is more than 400 meters long. According to legend, Dong Fen (Minister of Rites in Ming Dynasty) built the residence for his servants. There are about a hundred of them, hence the name "One-Hundred Residential Houses".

Last, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.
